CHIMAERA
A participatory performance project designed for the dark
In classical mythology, a chimaera is a creature composed of different animal parts that combine to create a new monster that is terrifying and fantastical.
Chimaera is a journey into the unknown, into the dark and into our collective fears and nightmares.
Meeting near dusk and armed with a head torch in a small audience group, you will be carefully guided through an intimate, playful and spectacular experience for the senses. Encountering changing sights, sounds and shapes you will observe, meet and confront Chimaera.
These creatures glimmer like magic when you dare to look directly at them but disappear completely when you look away.
Over a series of workshops, Adrenalism will work with your local community group to explore the fears we all share (including the dark!) to create their own theatrical monsters.
