The Party Shrimp
An interactive, visual walkabout performance for families
The Party Shrimp is an enchanting theatrical experience that is simultaneously alien and recognisable, combining physical theatre, movement and inventive costumes to explore the bonds of friendship, hierarchy, otherness and wonder.
An ancient, magical and slightly ridiculous military admiral from another world (or perhaps the seabed) arrives in ours in order to sense out the very best place for a party. Together with their enthusiastic but inexperienced apprentice they move through our world, infusing our spaces with that special something that makes a great party.
Non-verbal, highly visual, gentle and surreal. You are invited to watch, to sense, to wonder, to copy and play, up close and from afar on a journey of spontaneous celebration.
